Well, I was basically wrong about everything from last night's game except the outcome. In what was probably the greatest road comeback in Finals history, Kobe Bryant cemented his place as nowhere close to being as good as Michael Jordan. Bryant had 17 points on a dismal 6-19 shooting effort which was in large part due to the defense that was being played on him by Paul Pierce in the second half. Pierce didn't quite go for 30 points, but he had 14 points in the second half and was clutch down the stretch. Kevin Garnett had a solid game as well, shooting 7 of 14 from the field for 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. And Ray Allen was superb with 19 points which included some timely buckets, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals all while playing the entire 48 minutes of the game. Also, I was wrong about Rajon Rondo having to be involved in order for the Celtics to win. Turns out, he's not needed as much as I thought finishing with only 5 points and 2 assists in 17 minutes of action. I did however get that Sasha Vujacic prediction correct because he only had 3 points on 1 of 9 shooting. The Lakers had this game won with everyone playing well in the first half, even Lamar Odom who has been nonexistent in this series, but everyone reverted back to old ways in the second half and Kobe never took over like he normally does. This loss has doomed the Lakers because no team in NBA history has come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals. So, the Celtics will be looking to close out the series on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Game 5 preview to come sometime during the weekend.
