Your Daily Euro 2008 Update

[Ed. Note: Welcome to your daily Euro 2008 update. Unlike Raheelium's blog, Bihari Shabab, this will truly be a daily update of the day's matches. I cannot promise the same humor as that of Bihari Shabab Sports, but I can promise in-depth coverage of Euro 2008. You're welcome.]
Here was the day's most exciting match, and the highlights are provided for you in Turkish! It was very exciting for Turks all around the world as Arda Turan scored a stoppage time goal to provide Turkey with a crucial 3 points in Group A, while also effectively ending the Euro dream for the co-hosts of the tournament. Final score: Turkey 2-1 Switzerland. Actually, the only Swiss goal was scored by a player of Turkish descent so really the final score was 3-0 Turkey.

The first match of the day pitted Portugal against the Czech Republic. Nothing dramatic happened in this match and the Czechs were defeated by Portugal 3-1, ensuring a quarterfinals berth for Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo, who is breathtaking on and off the pitch, provided the second score for Portugal in the sixty-third minute. Since this was basically expected, and I don't feel like giving any more details here are Euro fans for your enjoyment.
